NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans will be without wide receiver Treylon Burks for the rest of the season, according to coach Brian Callahan.
Burks was placed on injured reserve in October after suffering a non-contact knee injury during practice. Callahan said Burks’ injury was initially diagnosed as a “loose ACL” that wasn’t fully torn.
After a series of examinations by doctors and specialists, it was determined that Burks would need surgery.
Editor’s Picks
Veteran wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who was inserted into the starting lineup in place of Burks, has eight touchdown catches over the past eight games.
Through five games, Burks played 142 (48%) offensive snaps for the Titans and also was used on the kick return team.
The Titans selected Burks with the 18th pick in the 2022 draft. In three seasons, he has 53 receptions for 699 yards and one touchdown, including four receptions for 34 yards this season.
