INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The Los Angeles Rams entered their Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers as one of four teams without a defensive touchdown since 2023.

But they changed that in the second quarter Sunday, when rookie safety Jaylen McCollough intercepted a Jordan Love pass to give the Rams the lead.

As Rams outside linebacker Byron Young pressured Love in the end zone on third down, the quarterback attempted to throw the ball away. His pass was intercepted by McCollough, who returned four yards for the touchdown.

It was Love’s first career pick-six, according to ESPN Research. Rams kicker Joshua Karty missed the point after as the Rams took the 13-7 lead.
