Julio Rodríguez has shined since his debut American League Rookie of the Year season in 2022. Now, the Seattle Mariners star’s new limited-edition cleats will provide a visible sparkle to match his on-field play.

The customization partner Rodríguez and Adidas are working with for his new kicks? Swarovski. Accordingly, the purple cleats will be covered in shimmering crystals.
The cleats will be available for purchase, but access won’t be easy. In addition to carrying a price of $440, only 44 pairs will be released.
According to an official release, the numbers pay homage to Rodríguez’s number, as well as “other all-time baseball legends” who have donned the number — the most notable being Hank Aaron, whose No. 44 has been retired by the Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Rodríguez will wear the cleats Sept. 17 and 18, the first and second games of a three-game home series for the Mariners against the New York Yankees. T-Mobile Park’s “J-Rod squad,” a swath of seats in the stadium spanning three sections sponsored by Adidas, will also be receiving custom “iced out” T-shirts for the cleats’ debut game.
