HOUSTON — The Jacksonville Jaguars placed linebacker Foyesade Oluokun on injured reserve with a foot injury on Saturday, shelving their leading tackler for at least four weeks.
The Jaguars (0-3) also ruled out nickelback Darnell Savage Jr. (quad) for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans (2-1) at NRG Stadium. This will be the third consecutive game that Savage has missed.
Oluokun (22 tackles, 3 tackles for loss) left Monday’s 47-10 loss to Buffalo in the second half. He will not be eligible to return until the Jaguars’ Week 8 matchup against the Green Bay Packers at EverBank Stadium.
Rookie Jarrian Jones, a third-round pick who is dealing with a shoulder injury, will likely start at nickel in Savage’s place.
