Nets’ Thomas (hamstring) likely out for season

Cam Thomas has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and is expected to miss the remainder of the season, the Brooklyn Nets announced Saturday.

Thomas suffered the strain in Thursday’s loss to the Chicago Bulls. With a little less than one month left in the Nets’ season and the time needed to recover from the strain, the team is deciding to shut Thomas down.

Thomas has struggled with hamstring issues throughout the year and will end the season having only appeared in 25 games.

The 27th pick in the 2021 draft, Thomas heads into restricted free agency this summer after averaging 24 points in 31.2 minutes per game for Brooklyn.
