Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has reaffirmed that he is preparing for this to be his last season at the Merseyside club as negotiations have stalled over a new contract.
Asked by Sky Sports why winning the Premier League had become more of a priority than the Champions League, Salah said: “Probably coming back here, it’s my last year at the club so you want to do something special for the city.”

Pressed on whether he is sure it is his final season with Arne Slot’s team, the Egypt international added: “So far, yes. It’s the last six months [of my contract].
“There is no progress there. We are far away from any progress. So, we just need to wait and see.”
